Qualifications: BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy, MSc Sports Physiotherapy, STOTT Pilates Instructor, AACP accredited acupuncture practitioner.
Special interests: sports injuries and performance enhancement, neck and back pain, lower limb running injuries, sports massage.

Jo qualified as a physiotherapist in 1996 from Keele University and gained a MSc in Sports Physiotherapy in 2013 from the University of Bath, which is consistently ranked within the top 2 Universities for sport in the UK.
Her career history has included working within the NHS, military, private and sports sectors, most recently as Sports Service Lead for a large private healthcare company.
Jo has worked with Olympic and Paralympic athletes from summer and winter sports travelling extensively worldwide. She was Lead Physiotherapist for Great Britain’s Paralympic shooting team 2008-2017, supporting the team at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic games.
She continues to work in elite sport as a Consultant Contractor for the English Institute of Sport.
Jo joined Pure Physio as a clinician in 2012 and has established a reputation locally for delivering quality sports injury treatment and exercise rehabilitation. She became a business partner of Pure Physio with Caroline in 2018.
Jo enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities to optimise their health and function for performance. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports & Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM) and is trained to use acupuncture being a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
