Pilates is a form of low impact conditioning exercise that helps to improve strength, mobility, balance, posture and co-ordination. Physiotherapists are healthcare professionals and experts in understanding how the body moves and how it responds to pain and injury. Physio led Pilates is therefore ideal if you are suffering from an injury, aches and pains or have health conditions which limit your ability to join other exercise classes.
1:1 personal instruction – 60 minute appointment . These sessions are ideal if you prefer individual attention or are unable to make a class.
Rehabilitation Pilates Class – Booked as a course of 4 x 60 minute classes, they are designed to introduce Pilates as a method of exercise rehabilitation. These classes are ideal if you have never tried Pilates before, are recovering from an injury or operation or have a medical condition that would benefit from a healthcare professional supervising you exercise. The steadier pace of the class ensures you are able to learn the basic concepts of Pilates by working on strength, flexibility, balance, posture and co-ordination. Our class sizes small, with a maximum of 8 people per class, to ensure you receive sufficient individual instruction.
Classes are held in Studio 3 at Applemore Health & Leisure from 7:30-8:30pm on Wednesday evenings.
